A 77-member delegation of faculty members and students from Zhengzhou College of Finance and Economics (ZCFE) took part in a university-funded study tour to Russia from 29 June to 6 July 2019.

Organised in support of the Belt and Road Initiative, the tour aimed to promote cross-cultural educational exchange and broaden participants’ understanding of other cultures.

Exploring Moscow

Moscow was the delegation’s first stop, with activities taking place on 29 and 30 June. The group visited Park Pobedy Metro Station and Red Square to explore aspects of the city’s history, architecture and cultural heritage. The itinerary also included a visit to Lomonosov Moscow State University. Founded in 1755, it is one of Russia’s oldest universities.

Learning Through Cultural Visits

The Moscow programme offered faculty members and students opportunities to learn about Russian history, culture and higher education through first-hand observation. These visits formed the opening stage of the delegation’s study tour, which continued in St Petersburg.
